How our recycled fabric is made
How our recycled fabric is made
1) Waste breakdown
Plastic waste material is chopped, ground, washed, and shredded into flakes.
2) Forming the fiber
The flakes are then melted into chips and spun into yarn.
3) Weaving the fabric
The yarn is then woven into rolls of fabric.
4) Creating your garment
The fabric is then used to create your made-to-order garment.
Our Sustainability Roadmap
Our Sustainability Roadmap
Replaced packaging
Switched our product packaging to 100% recycled plastic. Annually this will see Reform reduce its waste from over 100,000 plastic bags to 100% recycled plastic which we encourage customers to reuse or repurpose.
Introduced recycled fabric
Relaunched one of our foundation products, the trusty Polo, switching the body fabric to 100% recycled polyester. This was done without compromising on fabric quality, durability, or product offering.
Lining changed to recycled fabric
Transitioned all product lining to 100% recycled fabric. You won’t be able to tell the difference but it will be better for the environment.
Introduce recycled fleece
Introduction of recycled fleece. We aim to deliver a fleece that is 30% recycled by July 2024.

Our recycled fabric is made from post-consumer plastic and PET bottles. This plastic waste is cleaned and then broken down into chips. The chips are then melted into resin which is spun into thread. This thread is used to create the material our garments are made from.
Whilst there may be a slight difference in hand feel and weight, our recycled fabrics maintain the high quality and durability you have come to expect from our standard fabrics.
Our sustainable packaging is made from 100% recycled plastic, sourced from post-consumer waste such as plastic PET bottles.
As part of our sustainability initiative, we have begun utilising recycled fabrics in more than 50% of our product range, with the aim to expand this offering over time. There are three types of recycled fabric used in our products: Recycled Polyester Pongee
