Color matching
Color range
Reform Clothing provides an extensive range of 200+ curated colors for our decoration application types, allowing you to represent your logo/graphic and brand appropriately. Colors may be more limited for a range of fabrics depending on your product selection.
Where an extensive range of fabric colors is important to you, we suggest reviewing the fabric options and associated products to ensure you have the necessary breadth of color options for your brand. However, if you are set on a particular product style, jump straight into the Design Lab to explore the color options available.
Why do we provide a range of curated colors?
Reform offers a range of 200+ curated colors to provide:
Color consistency - Our wide variety of fabrics and application types (Felt, Nylon and Embroidery) are ordered in large batches and stocked by our factories in our curated colors. Buying in volume gives us much more control of color standards and ensures colors can be reproduced year after year with little variance between orders. Quality assurance checks and calibration take place regularly to continue to maintain consistency year on year with your selected color from Reforms color ranges.
Shorter lead times - Material can be picked directly from our pre-purchased stock, significantly reducing lead time and unnecessary transportation costs.
Less wastage - By utilizing a standard range of colors, we can ensure that wastage is kept to a minimum. When the fabric is custom-dyed for a specific color match there can be considerable wastage and environmental impact from the dyeing excess fabric.
How to match your colors
We provide a number of options to help you find the closest color we have within our color range. Deciding on the best option for you depends on how accurate you require your color match to be.
Matching to an existing fabric/decoration color
A number of our customers already have an existing fabric or decoration color in circulation that needs to be matched to for consistency. Reform is able to find your closest matching color within our range for fabrics and decorations that support our 200+ colors. Note: some fabrics such as Fleece and Twill have a smaller standard color range, which generally does not require color matching.
If you’ve worked with Reform before, we will already have details of your previously-used colors in our system, and for those with an organization account, your colors will be available in your favorites section in the Design Lab.
However, if you're a new customer then it’s best to match colors in line with your existing garments. To do this, we require that you send us a fabric sample for review and manual color matching.
Unfortunately, a color code or photograph is not advised as there is no guarantee that your existing garments actually matched closely to your brand color codes/Pantone code. Additionally, lighting conditions and color calibration issues prevent matching via digital photos.

Can I get a custom color?
Typically we don’t match outside of our curated color ranges for the reasons described in "Why do we provide a range of curated colors?".
With 200+ colors in our sublimated fabrics and decoration range, we are confident we will be able to find a close match within a small tolerance of your original colors.
In circumstances where a close color match is unavailable, we may be able to arrange a custom color for specific fabrics or decoration applications as a premium service.
To discuss this further, please contact our team to discuss your order and design requirements to find out if you qualify.
Will the garment match what I see on screen?
While we do our best to accurately represent your garment colors on screen, it is normal to expect some level of variation between on-screen and the final product due to differences in screen calibration (quality, brightness, contrast etc).
As such, it’s not possible to represent a color on a screen exactly as it would appear on a physical fabric, and a small difference should be expected.
If you are concerned and require high accuracy in color matching, please review our color matching options and contact our team to discuss further.
Popular questions
The way your file is saved and stores color information may impact the closest color matching in the Design Lab.
Please be aware that selecting colors based on screen display means that your garment colors may vary.
These differences are predominantly due to differences in monitor settings for calibration, brightness and contrast. However, there are also differences between simply representing a color on screen to a physical material or fabric.
If you are using onscreen color selection, please ensure you logos/graphics are saved and uploaded using RGB color mode and RGB Profile sRGB IEC61966-2.1. Additionally, we recommend setting your monitor to sRGB IEC61966-2.1 as well so that you can compare the resulting matched colors following upload onto your design.
If physical color matching is important to you, we have a number of color matching options available.
Unfortunately, a photo does not convey color information accurately due to camera quality, and screen and lighting differences. Please see color matching options above.
It’s easy for graphics to be edited and unexpectedly drift away from the original branding or colors over time as they are edited and saved over and over again.
We suggest using an original file provided as part of your brand/logo design from your designer or marketing team where the colors within the file have been verified as set up correctly in line with brand guidelines.
For best accuracy in automatic color matching, please save the file using RGB color mode (as opposed to CMYK).
We may be able to provide a fabric or embroidery sample for color-matching purposes where your order qualifies for this service.
