Colour matching
Colour range
Reform Clothing provides an extensive range of 200+ curated colours for our decoration application types, allowing you to represent your logo/graphic and brand appropriately. Colours may be more limited for a range of fabrics depending on your product selection.
Where an extensive range of fabric colours is important to you, we suggest reviewing the fabric options and associated products to ensure you have the necessary breadth of colour options for your brand. However, if you are set on a particular product style, jump straight into the Design Lab to explore the colour options available.
Why do we provide a range of curated colours?
Reform offers a range of 200+ curated colours to provide:
Colour consistency - Our wide variety of fabrics and application types (Felt, Nylon and Embroidery) are ordered in large batches and stocked by our factories in our curated colours. Buying in volume gives us much more control of colour standards and ensures colours can be reproduced year after year with little variance between orders. Quality assurance checks and calibration take place regularly to continue to maintain consistency year on year with your selected colour from Reforms colour ranges.
Shorter lead times - Material can be picked directly from our pre-purchased stock, significantly reducing lead time and unnecessary transportation costs.
Less wastage - By utilising a standard range of colours, we can ensure that wastage is kept to a minimum. When the fabric is custom-dyed for a specific colour match, there can be considerable wastage and environmental impact from the dyeing excess fabric.
How to match your colours
We provide a number of options to help you find the closest colour we have within our colour range. Deciding on the best option for you depends on how accurate you require your colour match to be.
Matching to an existing fabric/decoration colour
A number of our customers already have an existing fabric or decoration colour in circulation that needs to be matched to for consistency. Reform is able to find your closest matching colour within our range for fabrics and decorations that support our 200+ colours. Note: some fabrics such as Fleece and Twill have a smaller standard colour range, which generally does not require colour matching.
If you’ve worked with Reform before, we will already have details of your previously-used colours in our system, and for those with an organisation account, your colours will be available in your favourites section in the Design Lab.
However, if you're a new customer then it’s best to match colours in line with your existing garments. To do this we require that you send us a fabric sample for review and manual colour matching.
Unfortunately, a colour code or photograph is not advised as there is no guarantee that your existing garments actually matched closely to your brand colour codes/Pantone code. Additionally, lighting conditions and colour calibration issues prevent matching via digital photos.

Alternative colour matching methods
Automatic detection

For this method, please ensure your colours are represented accurately. For more on uploads, see our Upload/Graphics logo guide
Search colours
Search for your hex code directly or use our Colour Assistant tool to find close matches from your hex code colours.

If you don't know your hex code colour or only have a Pantone code to work with then please contact our team for assistance.
Can I get a custom colour?
Typically we don’t match outside of our standardised colour ranges for the reasons described in 'Why do we provide a range of curated colours?'.
With 200+ colours in our sublimated fabrics and decoration range, we are confident we will be able to find a close match within a small tolerance of your original colours.
In circumstances where a close colour match is unavailable, we may be able to arrange a custom colour for specific fabrics or decoration applications as a premium service.
To discuss this further, please contact our team to discuss your order and design requirements to find out if you qualify.
Will the garment match what I see on screen?
While we do our best to accurately represent your garment colours on screen, it is normal to expect some level of variation between on-screen and the final product due to differences in screen calibration (quality, brightness, contrast etc).
As such, it’s not possible to represent a colour on a screen exactly as it would appear on a physical fabric and a small difference should be expected.
If you are concerned and require high accuracy in colour matching, please review our colour matching options and contact our team to discuss further.
Popular questions
The way your file is saved and stores colour information may impact the closest colour matching in the Design Lab.
Please be aware that selecting colours based on screen display means that your garment colours may vary.
These differences are predominantly due to differences in monitor settings for calibration, brightness and contrast. However, there are also differences between simply representing a colour on screen to a physical material or fabric.
If you are using onscreen colour selection, please ensure you logos/graphics are saved and uploaded using RGB colour mode and RGB Profile sRGB IEC61966-2.1. Additionally, we recommend setting your monitor to sRGB IEC61966-2.1 as well so that you can compare the resulting matched colours following upload onto your design.
If physical colour matching is important to you, we have a number of colour matching options available.
Unfortunately, a photo does not convey colour information accurately due to camera quality, and screen and lighting differences. Please see colour matching options above.
It’s easy for graphics to be edited and unexpectedly drift away from the original branding or colours over time as they are edited and saved over and over again.
We suggest using an original file provided as part of your brand/logo design from your designer or marketing team where the colours within the file have been verified as set up correctly in line with brand guidelines.
For best accuracy in automatic colour matching, please save the file using RGB colour mode (as opposed to CMYK).
We may be able to provide a fabric or embroidery sample for colour-matching purposes where your order qualifies for this service.
To discuss this option, further please contact our team to discuss.
